My friends. Friday, October 10th is the day that Wong Kar Wai's Ashes Of Time Redux begins it's limited theatrical release in the US.

To the best of my knowledge, it's only opening in New York and LA (and Pasadena), but there may be others and there will probably be more sometime in the near future. I'm not sure. You should keep an eye on your local theater listings to find out. Or maybe check out the movie's Facebook page if you're into that sort of thing.

Locally, it'll be playing at the Laemmle Sunset 5 in West Hollywood and the Laemmle Playhouse 7 in Pasadena.

I've not seen this movie all the way through before because there are only three DVDs of the film in existence. 2 of them are completely unwatchable, quality-wise, and the other only has French subtitles.

I swear... is it just me, or is the only thing missing from there Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeoh? Then it would be perfect.

I tried twice to watch my old VHS copy of it and I think it just made my head hurt, the quality was so bad...

the only way it would be perfect is if CYF pretty much shot the fuck out of everyone and everything in that movie (I don't care if it's a period movie) and michelle yeoh's character finally chopped the head off of ziyi's character (yes, zhang ziyi has to be in it too) - but not before she totally kicked her ass for like a good 45 minutes.

THEN. That would be perfect.

NO! NO! NO! NO! You STILL owe me. Like, big time. This is like, the WORST WKW movie ever. It's far more worse that watching a Chungking Express and In the Mood for Love double feature WHILE getting a lap dance from Sarah Palin!!

The next girlie movie that I wanna see comes out, I'm dragging your ass to it.
