ARGH. Just found out today that Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are re-releasing their first 4 albums, remastered and with a DVD tomorrow. ARGH. This recent trend of re-releaing older albums with new, remastered sound and bonus material is at the same time the greatest thing in the universe and the most frustrating. Great because these albums frequently need remastering, frsutrating because you usually already own the original versions. In this particular case, I'm lucky, in a sense. I don't actually own any of these 4 albums. I did, at one point, but my ex kept pretty much all of the Nick Cave stuff when we broke up a few years ago and I never got around to replacing these. So I can buy them with the only guilt being that I'm spending money that I should be saving, given I will most likely be unemployed soon. I'll probably not buy them for a while. Probably. Maybe. Abstaining from purchase is made especially difficult by the price. Amazon is selling each of these for only $13.99 which, by the way, is a really good fucking price and a lot less than I'd have expected for a CD & DVD. Damn. From Her to Eternity (Remastered) on Amazon Your Funeral...My Trial (Remastered) on Amazon The Firstborn Is Dead (Remastered) on Amazon Kicking Against The Pricks (Remastered) on Amazon This is pretty awesome. From Her To Eternity is especially in desperate need of being remastered. Amazon has one of those deals where you can buy 3 of them for only $41.97, too. So tempting. ARGH.
